How to Get Logic 8 Working with OSX Lion

After a huge amount of comments and feedback on a previous post – Logic 8 and the perils of Mac OSX Lion upgrade – I decided to make a post to help get people working again with Logic 8 and earlier versions of Logic 9 (9.13 & below).

Be very careful using the method below. When navigating inside an application, accidentely deleting files will damage the application!

Navigate to the folder containing your Logic app in finder, usually the Applications folder.
Right Click ‘Logic.app’
Select show package contents
Navigate to Contents/MacOS/Logic Pro (or Express)
Double Click to Open

Logic 8 and the perils of Mac OSX Lion upgrade

I have seen lots of tweets and forum articles since the launch of Mac OSX Lion last week that their version of Logic has stopped working since upgrading their OS.

I have since wrote a tutorial on How to Get Logic 8 Working with OSX Lion which you can find here – http://www.logicprohq.com/tutorials/how-to-get-logic-8-working-with-osx-lion/

This is causing them all sorts of problems and if they main source of income is from using Logic it means they have to upgrade to Logic 9 instead of being able to wait for Logic 10 (which has hopefully got to be soon right?).

Create DJ/Turntable Style Stops & Starts and Audio Fade Tricks in Logic Pro 9

Logic 9 is packed full of features for manipulating audio files and in this post I am going to focus on 2 great ways to affect audio regions.

These are great little tools to have in your music making arsenal so lets crack on with the tutorial.
